Salary: $112,000–$159,000 per year for Battery Electronics Engineer II. Senior-level range: $137,000–$195,000 per year.

What you will do

  • Own battery electronics development from specifications and architecture through simulation, schematic capture, PCB design, packaging, bring-up, validation, and environmental qualification.
  • Design battery voltage and current sensing, charge balancing, isolation and fault detection, power conversion, load switching, hot-swapping, inrush control, and over-current protection circuits.
  • Perform failure modes and effects analyses and develop system-level reliability and validation plans.
  • Support integrated system-level validation for human-rated space station systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field, completed or expected by June 2026.
  • At least 2 years of experience developing electrical hardware.
  • Experience with full-lifecycle product development and electrical hardware validation.
  • Must be a U.S. person or otherwise eligible for deemed export licensing under U.S. export control requirements.
  • Willingness to work overtime or weekends during critical mission milestones.

Nice to have

  • Experience with battery electrical systems and electronics for spaceflight environments.
  • Experience with environmental testing, including vibration, shock, thermal, burn-in, and TVAC tests.
  • Programming experience with MATLAB, Python, or C/C++.
  • Experience with Ethernet, CAN, SPI, I2C, RS232, RS422, or RS485.
  • Experience with SPICE, SQL, National Instruments hardware, or collegiate engineering project teams.
