Company

hirify.global designs and builds lunar rovers, power systems, and data networks for sustained operations on the Moon.

What you will do

  • Lead electrical interconnect and wiring harness architecture for lunar flight systems, including power distribution, command and data handling, sensors, and RF payloads.
  • Define system block diagrams, schematics, interface control documents, and pinout allocations across spacecraft subsystems.
  • Perform trade studies covering wire gauges, conductor materials, shielding, connectors, signal integrity, and mass optimization.
  • Design and qualify harnesses for vacuum, thermal cycling, radiation, dynamic motion, and lunar dust exposure.
  • Act as the technical subject-matter expert across engineering, manufacturing, and external suppliers while overseeing testing, assembly, routing mock-ups, and spacecraft integration.
  • Mentor early-career and mid-level avionics and electrical engineers and support critical program milestones.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in spaceflight avionics systems engineering, including space-qualified wiring harness design and electrical interconnects.
  • Knowledge and application of NASA-STD-8739.4, IPC/WHMA-A-620 Class 3 / Space Addendum, ECSS-Q-ST-70-08, and ECSS-E-ST-50.
  • Proficiency with 3D harness routing, electrical design, or schematic tools such as Siemens Capital, Zuken E3.series, Altium, Creo Harness, CATIA V5, or 3DEXPERIENCE.
  • Experience selecting low-outgassing materials and components for thermal and radiation endurance, with familiarity with NASA outgassing requirements.
  • Ability to travel occasionally to manufacturing partners, cleanrooms, and launch sites and to work in cleanroom environments.

Nice to have

  • Master’s degree in a STEM field.
  • Experience with planetary missions, lunar landers, deep-space probes, satellite programs, or other flight hardware.
  • Knowledge of EMI/EMC mitigation, MIL-STD-461, grounding and bonding strategies, hardware-in-the-loop testbeds, and spacecraft-level functional testing.
  • Experience coordinating with suppliers, manufacturers, or vendors of space-qualified cable and harness assemblies.

Culture & Benefits

  • Equity ownership in the company.
  • Medical, dental, vision, and mental health benefits.
  • 401(k) plan with company match.
  • Flexible PTO and parental leave.
  • On-site lunch stipend, snacks, beverages, and monthly social hours.
  • Culture focused on trust, work-life balance, diverse perspectives, purposeful execution, and impact.

Hiring process

  • Application review followed by a recruiter phone interview.
  • Hiring manager virtual interview and video interviews.
  • On-site interview followed by an offer and hiring decision.
