What you will do

• Serve as the responsible engineer for the Haven-1 primary structure test stand.
• Maintain, operate, upgrade, and debug the test stand hydraulic system.
• Lead hazardous operations and static-load testing for the Haven-1 primary structure.
• Write test procedures and lead Test Readiness Reviews.
• Work alongside test stand technicians during maintenance and testing operations.
• Coordinate test stand modifications and support propulsion or fluids component testing as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline.
• 5+ years of experience in hydraulic power engineering and/or structural test engineering.
• Ability to work onsite outdoors in harsh Mojave desert conditions, including temperatures above 110°F.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted.
• Willingness to work overtime or weekends during critical mission milestones.
• Must be a U.S. person or otherwise eligible for deemed export licensing under U.S. export control requirements.

Nice to have

• Experience with hydraulic repair, troubleshooting, installation, preventive maintenance, and field service.
• Experience writing test procedures and building or testing high-pressure hydraulic systems.
• Hydraulic plumbing fabrication experience.
• Ability to read and interpret P&IDs.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and experience working in multidisciplinary teams.
