TL;DR
Integration & Test Specialist (Subsea Geothermal Systems): Assembling, integrating, instrumenting, and testing complex mechanical and fluid hardware for modular subsea geothermal power plants with an accent on pressure-tight plumbing, leak-free systems, and deployment readiness. Focus on debugging fit-up and tolerance issues, validating high-pressure and high-temperature systems, and building repeatable test infrastructure under aggressive hardware timelines.

Location: Seattle, WA, United States; work arrangement: On-site

Salary: $100K–$160K per year, plus equity

Company

hirify.global is a pre-revenue startup developing modular subsea geothermal power plants that convert ocean-floor thermal resources into baseload power.

What you will do

  • Assemble mechanical and fluid systems, including pressure vessels, piping, valves, and heat exchangers.
  • Integrate tubing and piping through routing, bending, cutting, fitting, and high-quality plumbing of test systems and subsea hardware.
  • Install sensors and instrumentation, then perform hydrostatic and pneumatic pressure testing, leak checks, and system validation.
  • Support system bring-up, debug integration issues, and resolve fit-up and tolerance problems alongside mechanical, fluids, and electrical engineers.
  • Document builds, test setups, and issues while maintaining clean, safe, repeatable build processes.
  • Support rapid prototyping, test infrastructure, and deployment preparation for high-pressure and high-temperature systems.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in mechanical assembly, fluid systems, or integration roles.
  • Experience assembling and testing complex mechanical or fluid systems, including tubing, piping, fittings, pressure testing, and leak detection.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, P&IDs, and assembly documentation.
  • Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills, attention to detail, craftsmanship, ownership, and independent judgment.
  • Ability to work closely with engineers in fast-paced, prototype-driven environments.
  • Ability to work on-site in Seattle, WA.

Nice to have

  • Orbital tube welding or other high-reliability welding experience.
  • Experience with high-pressure systems, process piping, thermal systems, or Swagelok fluid-system standards.
  • Marine, subsea, aerospace, or energy hardware experience.
  • Light fabrication, manual machining, custom test infrastructure, cleanliness control, fixture design, or integration tooling experience.

Culture & Benefits

  • Full-time employment with competitive base salary and meaningful equity ownership.
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance.
  • Flexible PTO and 12 paid company holidays.
  • Opportunities for global fieldwork, sea trials, and deployment operations at oceanic-ridge sites.
  • Company-sponsored recreational dive certification, access to a company boat, free meals, and snacks.
