Senior Network Engineer (Networking)

Location: Jersey City, United States

Salary: $130,000–$165,000 base salary per year, plus an annual performance bonus.

What you will do

• Implement, administer, troubleshoot, install, and maintain enterprise network infrastructure, including wireless access points, routers, and switches.
• Monitor WAN circuits, network hardware, software, capacity, and performance.
• Resolve Level 1–2 network incidents and escalate complex issues to Level 3 support.
• Maintain technical specifications, network diagrams, system documentation, and operating procedures.
• Collaborate with clients, vendors, carriers, and IT teams across multiple business functions and locations.
• Manage network changes and incidents and maintain monitoring and administrative systems.

Requirements

• At least 6 years of experience installing and maintaining complex networks.
• Strong knowledge of LAN/WAN, wireless networking, TCP/IP, network routing, and network technologies.
• Working knowledge of ACI, MPLS, SD-WAN, SDN, BGP, OSPF, RIP, route maps, route redistribution, IPsec, and VPN.
• Experience with monitoring, tooling, and automation platforms such as PRTG, NetScout, NetBrain, ServiceNow, and Splunk.
• Hands-on experience with protocol analysis tools for packet inspection, network diagnostics, and troubleshooting.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, documentation, presentation, and communication skills; a BA/BS or technical degree is preferred.

Nice to have

• CCNA or CWNA certification.
• CompTIA, A+, or other networking certifications.
• Experience with network design and troubleshooting in Azure.
• Knowledge of network security best practices.
