BI Automation Engineer (Power BI)

Location: Toronto, Ontario, Canada; hybrid arrangement with 1–3 days per week on-site at Toronto-81 Bay

What you will do

• Deliver and manage enterprise-wide BI services and platforms for a broad user community.
• Collaborate with functional teams to improve BI service functionality, stability, capacity, and performance.
• Participate in infrastructure design, implementation, system integration, and data-flow planning.
• Develop BI reports, dashboards, workflows, and automation using Python, PowerShell, and Microsoft Power Platform tools.
• Contribute to project deliverables, production monitoring, user acceptance testing, and troubleshooting of complex service and technology issues.
• Evaluate emerging BI platforms and cloud solutions supporting digital transformation and cloud migration.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience building and maintaining robust Power BI infrastructure.
• Experience managing the full Power BI integration and deployment lifecycle.
• Strong Python and PowerShell programming, database coding, scripting, and automation skills.
• Experience with Windows operating systems, cloud infrastructure, and analytical tooling such as Databricks, Azure Data Factory, and ADLS; Microsoft Azure experience is preferred.
• Strong database administration skills, including relational and non-relational database design, optimization, security, availability, and performance tuning.
• Must be legally eligible to work in Canada and hold a valid work or study permit where applicable.
