Technical Accounting Analyst (US GAAP)

Location: Spring, Texas, United States of America

Salary: $105,050–$161,800 USD annually, plus potential bonus and/or equity for US candidates.

What you will do

• Lead technical accounting research and prepare position papers documenting key judgments and estimates.
• Advise finance teams and business partners on accounting matters, contracts, operational issues, and new accounting requirements.
• Manage quarterly contingency and one-time reporting processes and support compliance activities.
• Perform benchmarking evaluations and monitor new GAAP, SEC, and disclosure requirements.
• Coordinate with departments to provide and validate financial information, and draft accounting policies and memoranda.
• Support quarter-end close activities and provide auditors with documentation supporting accounting conclusions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• CA or equivalent qualification required.
• 5–8 years of experience in technical accounting, Big Four accounting firms, or controllership within large multinational publicly held companies.
• Strong understanding of accounting rules, accounting principles, financial analysis, and business applications including Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• Strong communication, presentation, facilitation, influencing, teamwork, analytical, business acumen, and project management skills.
• Ability to communicate complex topics, risks, and opportunities to diverse stakeholders and corporate financial reporting leadership.

• Exposure to ERP accounting and finance systems such as SAP.
