Pre-Construction Leader (HVAC)

Location: Fenton, Missouri, United States. Work onsite Monday through Thursday; choose the work location on Fridays. Some regional travel and occasional overnight stays are required.

Salary: $113,600–$161,945 annually, plus incentive eligibility.

What you will do

• Develop turnkey HVAC and energy services projects with account managers, project managers, subcontractors, suppliers, engineers, designers, and customers.
• Collect project data and prepare scopes of work, installation budgets, requests for quotation, and detailed cost estimates.
• Analyze plans, specifications, bid documents, and construction requirements, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, permitting, bonding, and temperature controls.
• Review submittals and perform equipment take-offs and pricing for materials, labor, subcontractors, purchased equipment, and related construction activities.
• Provide technical support during business acquisition, resolve estimate changes and constructability issues, and maintain vendor and subcontractor relationships.
• Mentor junior preconstruction developers and contribute to standard work, training, and process improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• General construction project development or HVAC-related work experience.
• Working knowledge of construction systems, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC operation, electrical systems, and temperature controls.
• Strong estimating, project management, communication, scheduling, and analytical skills.
• Valid driver’s license held for at least 12 months with no major or frequent traffic violations, including serious violations or preventable collisions within the previous three years.
• Flexibility to work outside normal hours and weekends when required, including travel and occasional overnight stays.

Nice to have

• Professional Engineer certification.
• Experience mentoring or managing preconstruction developers.
