What you will do

• Develop and optimize fusion welding processes for Terran R in collaboration with design, manufacturing, materials and processes, and quality teams.
• Provide technical support to manufacturing teams during welding operations and troubleshoot production challenges.
• Develop solutions to rapidly resolve welding issues and improve manufacturing outcomes.
• Act as the accountable weld engineer for stage hardware including transfer tubes, fluid assemblies, grid fins, bellows, and heat shields.
• Maintain process quality control and documentation in accordance with required standards and specifications.
• Implement corrective actions and continuous improvements to maintain high-quality outputs.

Requirements

• B.S. in Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience with welding processes such as GTAW, GMAW, OTW, or laser welding.
• 3+ years of experience applying industry specifications such as AWS, ASME, or similar.
• 3+ years of experience in a fast-paced production manufacturing environment.
• Strong curiosity, bias for action, hands-on approach, and ownership mentality.

Nice to have

• Welding Engineering degree at the bachelor's or master's level.
• 2+ years of fusion welding experience, preferably with GTAW or laser welding.
