Executive Director, Electronic Trading Sales

Location: New York, NY, United States; regular travel is required. Candidates must be legally eligible to work at the specified location and hold a valid work or study permit where applicable.

Salary: $275,000 annually for the New York market, based on experience, qualifications, and location; additional incentive compensation and discretionary bonus may apply.

What you will do

• Originate, develop, and manage relationships with US long/short hedge funds and institutional asset managers.
• Promote electronic trading capabilities, including algorithmic strategies, smart order routing, analytics, and direct market access.
• Collaborate with trading, technology, product, and global sales teams to deliver client solutions.
• Provide market intelligence and client feedback to guide platform enhancements and product development.
• Shape the go-to-market strategy and growth of the US electronic trading business.
• Coordinate with Legal, Operations, Compliance, Technology, Credit, and Risk to maintain sound governance and regulatory compliance.

Requirements

• 8+ years of progressive sales experience in electronic and algorithmic trading within an investment bank, broker-dealer, or trading platform.
• Proven success originating and managing relationships with US hedge funds and institutional asset managers.
• Deep knowledge of electronic trading products, market microstructure, and algorithmic strategies.
• Established buy-side trading network with strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in business, mathematics, engineering, computer science, or a related field.
• US regulatory registrations such as Series 7 and Series 63 are required.

Nice to have

• Canadian regulatory registrations such as CSC, DFC, or CPH.
• Experience building and scaling electronic trading businesses.
