Associate Director, Product Management (AI)

Location: United States; remote

Salary: $195,000–$294,000 annually, depending on experience

What you will do

• Own the product vision, roadmap, lifecycle, priorities, and success metrics for an internal drug discovery platform.
• Translate medicinal chemistry, molecular design, and computational workflows into intuitive digital experiences supporting the design-make-test-analyze cycle.
• Bridge scientific stakeholders with engineering, AI, machine learning, computational, SRE, and DevOps teams.
• Lead the integration of AI agents, automated workflows, and advanced computational capabilities for non-technical scientific users.
• Monitor adoption and program performance while balancing rapid iteration with scalability, reliability, security, and governance.
• Define requirements for evolving internal capabilities into enterprise or external products, including service expectations, SLAs, deployment, and client considerations.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience managing complex, highly technical software products in a technology-first, SaaS, or high-growth environment.
• Strong product management skills across discovery, definition, prioritization, roadmap development, and execution.
• Experience building complex internal tools or platforms for highly technical teams and shipping reliable software in agile environments.
• Technical fluency in AI, machine learning, computational concepts, secure cloud deployments, and highly available software architectures.
• Strong strategic thinking, product judgment, stakeholder management, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Ability to manage sensitive proprietary or third-party datasets with appropriate data privacy, security, and governance practices.

Nice to have

• Experience expanding internal tools into external-facing enterprise products.
• Experience with private or secure VPC deployments and client-hosted cloud environments.
• Background in life sciences, drug discovery, or computational biology.
