What you will do
- Develop and optimize fusion welding processes for Terran R.
- Support manufacturing teams during welding operations and troubleshoot production issues.
- Act as the accountable weld engineer for stage hardware including transfer tubes, fluid assemblies, grid fins, bellows, and heat shields.
- Ensure welding process quality control and documentation meet applicable standards.
- Implement corrective actions and continuous improvements to maintain high-quality production outputs.
Requirements
- B.S. in Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 1 year of experience with welding processes such as GTAW, GMAW, OTW, or laser welding.
- Knowledge of industry specifications such as AWS, ASME, or similar standards.
- At least 1 year of experience in a fast-paced production manufacturing environment.
- Curiosity, bias for action, a hands-on approach, and strong ownership.
Nice to have
- B.S. or M.S. degree in Welding Engineering.
- Fusion welding experience, especially with GTAW or laser welding.
