TL;DR

What you will do

  • Lead process design and scale-up for joining projects from development through production ramp.
  • Commission new equipment and develop SOPs, work instructions, and control plans to ensure repeatability.
  • Drive Design for Manufacturability (DFM) for joining processes in partnership with Product Design.
  • Specify and validate specialized equipment including laser systems, automated test equipment, and vision systems.
  • Design and execute experiments (DOE) to support process validation and troubleshooting.
  • Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and quality teams to solve process–equipment integration challenges.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Materials, Manufacturing, or a related engineering field.
  • 2+ years of manufacturing engineering experience in a specialized, precision-process environment.
  • Proven expertise in at least one of: welding/joining, materials processing, soldering/brazing, or precision assembly.
  • Strong proficiency with CAD tools (NX, SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and PLM/ERP systems.
  • Ability to read and create mechanical drawings and provide strong technical documentation.
  • Must have valid US work authorization (no visa sponsorship available).

Nice to have

  • Experience with high-voltage systems.
  • Hands-on expertise with PLCs, vision systems (2D/3D), sensor integration, or industrial automation.
  • Background in aerospace, EV, medical device, or semiconductor manufacturing.
  • Familiarity with design of experiments (DOE) or advanced process validation methods.
  • Experience with MES or Teamcenter.
