Project Manager - Protection and Control

Location: Raleigh, North Carolina, or Orlando, Florida, United States. Currently living in or willing to relocate to one of these locations; relocation assistance may be provided. Up to 20% domestic travel to suppliers and customers may be required.

What you will do

• Manage protection, control, and HMI projects for high- and medium-voltage substations.
• Own project delivery against schedule, budget, quality, and customer requirements.
• Oversee budgets, resource allocation, project progress, changes, claims, risks, and opportunities.
• Prepare project schedules, reports, and other management documentation.
• Support proposal management during the offering phase.
• Coordinate technical experts and ensure compliance with project requirements, engineering standards, and best practices.

Requirements

• University degree in electrical engineering, electronic engineering, automation, or a similar field.
• At least 5 years of project management experience with protection and control systems for high- or medium-voltage substations.
• Experience with stakeholder management, problem-solving, reporting, adaptability, attention to detail, and leadership of governance activities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Microsoft Project and Visio, as well as Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, and similar collaboration tools.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of automation and protection systems for high-voltage substations.
• Project management certification such as IPMA, PM@Siemens, PMP, or PMI.
