What you will do
- Record and review revenue transactions under ASC 606, US GAAP, and company revenue recognition policies.
- Complete monthly close activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, revenue cut-off, completeness reviews, and variance analysis.
- Identify accounts with uncertain collectability and establish, maintain, adjust, or release customer-level reserves.
- Prepare reserve schedules, roll-forwards, aging analyses, rationale documentation, and historical collection trend analyses.
- Analyze revenue trends, deferred revenue, and reserve activity to identify anomalies and emerging risks.
- Collaborate with billing, collections, accounts receivable, revenue cycle, FP&A, accounting, and audit teams.
Requirements
- Strong technical accounting knowledge in revenue recognition.
- Experience applying ASC 606 and US GAAP.
- Sound judgment in evaluating customer collectability and account risk.
- Ability to document reserve methodology and maintain consistent application across reporting periods.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States or Canada is required.
