Revenue Accountant

Location: New York Office; Hybrid

hirify.global operates a global revenue accounting function involving hardware, software, support, and services arrangements.

What you will do

• Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end revenue close activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, deferred revenue rollforwards, and supporting schedules.
• Reconcile deferred revenue, contract assets, unbilled receivables, and other revenue-related balance sheet accounts.
• Prepare flux analyses and management reporting for revenue and related accounts.
• Support external audits and maintain documentation for revenue recognition controls.
• Maintain revenue processes, controls, and documentation, and assist with system implementations, enhancements, and testing.
• Participate in ad hoc projects and special analyses.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 3–4+ years of accounting experience, including 1–2+ years in revenue accounting.
• Working knowledge of ASC 606 revenue recognition principles.
• Experience with month-end close, journal entries, reconciliations, and account analysis.
• Strong Excel skills and ability to work with large data sets and detailed supporting schedules.
• Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, communication, and deadline-management skills.

Nice to have

• CPA certification or progress toward CPA.
• Software industry experience.
