Staff Electrical Engineer (Aerospace)

Location: On-site in San Diego, California; Dallas, Texas; or Boston, Massachusetts, United States

Salary: $150,000–$220,000 per year, plus bonus, benefits, and equity for regular employees

What you will do

• Own product and circuit design for flight-critical subsystems, including analog, digital, high-speed, power, compute, sensor, and FPGA blocks.
• Lead full-cycle hardware development from concept, modeling, analysis, schematic capture, and simulation through prototyping, testing, and validation.
• Drive PCB layout and design with ECAD engineers, optimizing power density, EMI, thermal performance, and manufacturability.
• Design and validate robust systems for challenging aerospace conditions, including temperature, altitude, radiation, and vibration.
• Execute board bring-up, verification, validation, and HALT testing against aerospace reliability standards.
• Lead design reviews, manage technical milestones, and mentor engineers across cross-functional aircraft development teams.

Requirements

• B.S. in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• 5+ years of Electrical Engineering experience.
• Experience with circuit design, schematic capture, component selection, circuit testing, debugging, and system integration.
• Familiarity with Altium or an equivalent tool.
• Ability to obtain a S//SAR-level security clearance is desired.
• Strong collaboration, ownership, reliability, and technical leadership skills.
