TL;DR

Base salary: $130,000–$180,000 per year

hirify.global builds an onboard operational technology data platform providing cybersecurity, predictive maintenance, and compliance capabilities for defense and commercial fleets.

What you will do

  • Lead the full hardware development lifecycle, from component selection and schematic capture through PCB design and layout.
  • Design and rigorously test electrical boards against military and aerospace standards, including MIL-STD-810 and MIL-STD-461.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop compact, cost-effective, high-performance assemblies.
  • Build and test prototypes that meet strict safety, performance, and reliability requirements.
  • Analyze existing systems and implement iterative design improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with AS9100, ISO9001, and IPC standards in a regulated environment.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of experience designing circuit-board schematics to military standards; 7+ years for senior-level candidates.
  • Experience using oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and other test equipment for hardware verification.
  • Strong skills in electrical CAD software, with Altium preferred, and FPGA board design.
  • Experience working with MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-704, MIL-STD-1275, or DO-160 requirements.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.

Nice to have

  • Experience in an AS9100-certified environment.
  • Familiarity with IPC standards.
