Power System - High Voltage Test Specialist (Aerospace)

hirify.global is developing the X-BAT aircraft and its flight-critical custom avionics system supporting communications, compute, AI, power, telemetry, and other essential aircraft systems.

What you will do

• Set up and operate dynamometer systems for electric motor and motor-drive testing.
• Set up battery energy storage systems and configure instrumentation, sensors, fixtures, harnesses, and data-acquisition equipment.
• Execute test campaigns for electromechanical and electrochemical subsystems, verifying voltage rails, logic levels, performance, thermal behavior, and functionality.
• Perform testing, debugging, and system-level troubleshooting across electrical and mechanical components.
• Collect and evaluate test data, identify abnormal behavior, and communicate findings.
• Support environmental qualification testing and the design and buildout of battery and motor-test laboratories.

Requirements

• Associate degree or higher in electrical technology, mechanical technology, mechatronics, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Hands-on experience with batteries, dynamometers, electric motors, motor drives, powertrain systems, or comparable electromechanical equipment.
• Experience setting up and executing hardware tests with instrumentation, sensors, and data-acquisition equipment.
• Experience troubleshooting systems involving electrical and mechanical components.
• Familiarity with multimeters, oscilloscopes, power supplies, and electronic loads.
• Ability to interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, mechanical drawings, and test procedures, with an understanding of high-voltage and high-power laboratory safety.
