What you will do

  • Own the build, integration, and bring-up of avionics systems, electrical assemblies, and wire harnesses from prototypes through production.
  • Develop and maintain manufacturing instructions, work orders, bills of materials, drawings, and assembly documentation.
  • Troubleshoot electrical and avionics hardware using schematics, wiring diagrams, and test equipment, then implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Partner with design engineering on prototypes and identify design-for-manufacturing and design-for-test improvements.
  • Develop tooling, fixtures, test equipment, and production aids that improve repeatability and throughput.
  • Train and support manufacturing technicians on processes, tools, and procedures while improving safety, quality, cost, and production rate.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Computer, Aerospace, Manufacturing, or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent hands-on experience.
  • At least 1 year of experience with electrical, avionics, aerospace, automotive, robotics, or similar hardware systems in a production environment.
  • Experience reading electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, pinouts, and engineering drawings.
  • Hands-on experience building or troubleshooting electrical systems, PCB assemblies, or wire harnesses.
  • Knowledge of DC/AC circuits, voltage, current, resistance, grounding, power distribution, and signal integrity.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States; the role may involve access to technology controlled under U.S. export control laws.

Nice to have

  • Experience with wire harness manufacturing, crimping, soldering, connector assembly, shielding, backpotting, and cable termination.
  • IPC certification or experience working to IPC standards.
  • Experience with flight computers, embedded systems, sensors, QGroundControl, PX4, or similar avionics systems and communication protocols.
  • Experience operating autonomously in ambiguous environments with minimal documentation.
  • Passion for UAV systems.

Culture & Benefits

  • Competitive salary with performance-based incentives and equity participation.
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance, retirement savings, and paid time off.
  • Funding for continuing education, training, and professional development.
  • Startup agility combined with a focus on national security and next-generation manufacturing.
