What you will do

  • Own vehicle subassembly hardware from design release through build, test, and delivery.
  • Develop build flows, work instructions, and test procedures for repeatable, high-quality execution.
  • Support first-article builds and create scalable manufacturing processes for increased production rates.
  • Provide hands-on floor support during assembly and testing, resolving issues and driving continuous improvement.
  • Coordinate with design, supply chain, production, and test teams on part readiness, tooling, schedules, and stage handoffs.
  • Contribute to tooling strategies, ERP/MES workflows, production documentation, and long-term manufacturing infrastructure.

Requirements

  • Degree in engineering or a related technical field and 2+ years of hands-on hardware build and test experience in a manufacturing or integration environment.
  • Experience investigating hardware issues, resolving non-conformances, and implementing root-cause corrective actions.
  • Familiarity with assembly and test procedures, tolerance stack-up analysis, structural proof testing, and pressurized leak checks.
  • Ability to collaborate across design, manufacturing, supply chain, and test functions.
  • Proficiency in GD&T, CAD, and basic design or test analysis.
  • Experience with at least two of LOX cleanliness, leak checking, sensor checkouts, tube bending, tool design, crane operations, or subassembly builds.

Nice to have

  • Aerospace product introduction or prototype-to-production transition experience.
  • Experience authoring and executing test procedures or serving as a test conductor for integrated system verification.
  • Familiarity with hazardous operations, fluid-system safety, and pressurized or high-risk testing.
  • Experience with lean environments, vendor engagement, tool development, or leading small build and test efforts.
