TL;DR
Analyst, Data Insights & Business Transformation (Business Analysis/Data Governance): Supporting client onboarding transformation through business analysis, data validation, governance, RFIs, and stakeholder coordination with an accent on AML/KYC-controlled data, traceable documentation, and operational accuracy. Focus on gathering requirements, investigating data exceptions, coordinating testing and remediation, and improving processes across business, technology, compliance, and audit stakeholders.

Location: Toronto, Canada; hybrid arrangement with 1–3 days per week on-site and the remaining days remote

What you will do

  • Support the intake, assessment, prioritization, and tracking of business requests, enhancements, and technology initiatives.
  • Gather and document requirements, user stories, process flows, acceptance criteria, and functional supporting materials.
  • Perform data analysis, validation, reconciliation, remediation, and exception investigations using Excel, Power BI, and other analytics tools.
  • Coordinate responses to RFIs, audits, regulatory inquiries, and management requests while maintaining controls, data definitions, issue logs, and audit trails.
  • Support testing, issue resolution, stakeholder communication, implementation readiness, and process improvement across transformation initiatives.
  • Act as a liaison among Client Services & Data Management, Compliance, Technology, Data Management, audit teams, and other stakeholders.

Requirements

  • 1–3 years of experience in business analysis, data analysis, client onboarding, process improvement, or change delivery within financial services or an equivalent environment.
  • Experience documenting requirements, user stories, process flows, acceptance criteria, or functional documentation.
  • Working knowledge of AML/KYC, client lifecycle data, regulatory requirements, Data Governance, or another controlled data environment.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, critical-thinking, data validation, reconciliation, and exception-investigation skills.
  • Degree or diploma in business, finance, economics, data analytics, computer science, or a related field.
  • Legally eligible to work in Canada and able to provide a valid work or study permit where applicable.
