TL;DR
IT Business Analyst (Software): Managing the full lifecycle of IT system enhancements and demands from intake to delivery with an accent on requirements elicitation, stakeholder management, and solution validation. Location: Must be based in Toronto, Calgary, or Vancouver, Canada (Flexible workdays provided)
Salary: $69,750 – $93,000 CAD annually + 8% target incentives

What you will do
- Manage the full lifecycle of IT system enhancement demands, from initial request intake and qualification to final delivery.
- Elicit and document detailed functional and non-functional requirements, producing BRDs, process flow diagrams, and user stories.
- Define and lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including the creation of test plans and scripts.
- Collaborate with solution architects and developers to validate designs and maintain requirements traceability.
- Maintain an accurate inventory of enterprise applications and support oversight of IT contracts and vendor relationships.
- Apply AI-assisted tools like Microsoft Copilot or Claude to accelerate documentation and business case analysis.
Requirements
- 5+ years of progressive experience in a Business Analyst or IT Analyst role within a corporate IT environment.
- Proven ability to produce high-quality BRDs, process flows, and UAT artifacts across a full project lifecycle.
- Proficiency with requirements management tools such as ServiceNow, Jira, Confluence, or Azure DevOps.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Visio, and data visualization tools like Power BI.
- Fluency in both Agile (Scrum/Kanban) and Waterfall/SDLC delivery frameworks.
- Based in Toronto, Calgary, or Vancouver, Canada.
Nice to have
- CBAP or CCBA designation.
- PMP, ITIL Foundation, or Agile certifications (CSM, PMI-ACP).
- Experience with enterprise platform implementations (ERP, CRM, ITSM).
- Working knowledge of BPMN 2.0 standards.
