Facilities Technician II (Aerospace)

Location: On-site in Cape Canaveral, Florida, United States. Successful candidates must clear a US government-administered background check for on-site work at a government partner location.

Salary: $27–$40.50 USD per hour.

What you will do

• Perform preventive maintenance on building systems, equipment, and infrastructure.
• Respond to facilities work orders and service requests.
• Inspect facilities to identify maintenance needs and safety hazards.
• Troubleshoot and repair systems across HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general building maintenance.
• Operate tools and equipment safely under OSHA and company standards.
• Maintain accurate work records in the CMMS and support employees with facilities requests.

Requirements

• 5+ years of general maintenance, facilities, or related experience preferred; internships and apprenticeships are acceptable.
• Basic knowledge of at least one trade, such as HVAC, plumbing, electrical, or carpentry.
• Ability to read and follow instructions, manuals, and simple schematics.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, plus basic computer skills.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds, climb ladders, and perform physical work in varied environments.
• Willingness to be on-call for occasional after-hours emergencies.

Nice to have

• OSHA 10 certification.
• Forklift or aerial lift operator certification.
• Proactive approach to identifying potential maintenance issues.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
