Head of Funds Transfer (Financial Services)

Location: Jersey City, New Jersey, United States

Salary: $160,000–$220,000 base salary plus annual target bonus

What you will do

• Lead the Funds Transfer division and its sub-units across payment processing, product processing, checks, ACH, SWIFT, Nostro bank, and client inquiry response.
• Oversee cross-functional reconciliation products, settlement operations, controls, escalations, and risk management across international markets.
• Develop and execute the department business plan, including organizational structure, systems priorities, management reporting, and budget.
• Lead recruiting, training, performance management, succession planning, and alignment of department managers.
• Drive continuous process improvement, technology enablement, and development of new processes, systems, products, and services.
• Build relationships with clients and internal partners, conduct client visits and presentations, and improve client service and straight-through processing.

Requirements

• Experience leading staff, including hiring, evaluation, team development, and succession planning.
• Expertise in a specialized discipline relevant to Funds Transfer and financial operations.
• Experience with business analysis, process improvement, operational procedures, and complex problem-solving.
• Ability to make complex decisions, manage conflict, resolve high-exposure issues, and work through others.
• Experience operating in a matrix environment and coordinating cross-office initiatives.
• Strong written and oral communication skills, including client presentations, project plans, and business cases.
