Associate Manager - Fund Accounting - Private Markets

Location: Jersey; hybrid working is offered.

What you will do

• Assist with managing client deliverables and coordinate with internal departments across multiple jurisdictions to meet deadlines.
• Prepare NAV calculations, audited and unaudited financial statements, partner capital statements, management fee calculations, drawdowns, distributions, and supporting work papers.
• Provide input to client service plans, calendars, and timelines, and prepare materials and responses for client meetings and requests.
• Act as a daily client contact, communicate promptly and professionally, and develop ongoing client relationships.
• Implement processes and technology for new business initiatives, stronger controls, and improved operating efficiency.
• Coordinate private markets services across Cash, Corporate Secretarial, Legal, AML, Risk & Controls, Implementations, and Sales.

Requirements

• Strong working knowledge of accounting principles, general ledgers, and financial statements.
• Knowledge of private markets, NAV calculations, and capital activities.
• Ability to work as a team player and lead when required, with effective cross-team collaboration.
• Excellent follow-up, analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and multitasking skills.
• Strong client service focus and ability to respond effectively to client needs.
• University degree at undergraduate or master’s level in Accounting or Business, preferably Accountancy or another finance-related program.
• Ability to meet internal and external demands and deadlines, take initiative, operate under pressure, and work in a controlled environment.
• Ability to disseminate relevant information to key stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Experience working for a private markets fund manager.
• Accounting qualification such as ACCA, ACA, CIMA, CPA, CA, or similar, nearly or fully qualified.
