Location: Hybrid, based in Cleveland or Columbus, Ohio, with occasional travel throughout the Eastern and Central time zones and approximately 5% overnight travel. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Salary: $80,000–$120,000 annually across offices in Colorado, Illinois, Ohio, and Massachusetts.

What you will do
- Partner with healthcare and senior living leadership teams on financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and board reporting.
- Manage month-end and year-end close activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.
- Analyze financial performance, identify trends, and provide actionable recommendations.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies by reconciling subsidiary systems with the general ledger.
- Prepare Medicaid and Medicare cost reports for skilled nursing, home health, and hospice providers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
- At least 3 years of full-charge staff accountant experience, including financial statement preparation, account reconciliations, and workpaper preparation, or relevant industry experience with Medicaid and Medicare cost reports.
- Strong Excel skills and experience with fixed assets, depreciation, and payroll, including quarterly and annual payroll tax filings.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship is required.
- Availability for occasional travel throughout the Eastern and Central time zones, including approximately 5% overnight travel.
Nice to have
- CPA certification.
- Experience with PointClickCare or Sage Intacct.
- Experience with Yardi, Peachtree, Creative Solutions, FX, or FAS.
