Electrical Engineering Spring Co-op (January 2027) (R4475)

Location: On-site in Dallas, Texas; San Diego, California; or Boston, Massachusetts, United States

Salary: $40–$56 per hour, depending on degree level. Rising Bachelor's graduates earn $40/hour, rising Master's graduates earn $45/hour, and rising PhD graduates earn $56/hour.

What you will do

• Take ownership of an electrical engineering project aligned with the co-op start date, duration, and location.
• Contribute to the development and testing of autonomous aircraft and flight-critical hardware.
• Design circuit boards with analog, digital, mixed-signal, and high-speed circuits.
• Design, simulate, and verify high-voltage power electronics, including DC/DC converters and DC/AC inverters above 10 kW.
• Bring up and validate avionics systems, identify bugs, and drive corrective changes.
• Build automated test racks and run HALT reliability campaigns for circuit boards and avionics subsystems.

Requirements

• Have completed at least the second year of a relevant degree, typically Electrical Engineering.
• Demonstrate strong technical fundamentals and experience participating in an engineering team or club.
• Have experience with electrical design software and tools such as Altium, KiCAD, and oscilloscopes.
• Show ownership of project outcomes and a record of delivering strong results.
• Work reliably with high standards as a collaborative and respectful teammate.
• Ability to obtain a S//SAR-level security clearance is desired.
