TL;DR
Electrical Engineer Internship (Fall Term 2026) (Spacecraft Integration): Designing, building, and integrating electrical ground support equipment and flatsat testbeds for spacecraft integration and testing with an accent on hands-on assembly, harnessing, and electrical troubleshooting. Focus on soldering, crimping, connector assembly, continuity checks, and diagnosing test setups with laboratory equipment.

Location: Onsite at the Broomfield, Colorado headquarters. Applicants must be U.S. Persons and must be able to verify eligibility to work in the United States. Relocation support is available.

Hourly rate: $25–$29 per hour

hirify.global develops very low Earth orbit spacecraft, satellite buses, payloads, and turnkey missions for sensing, communications, and responsive operations.

What you will do

  • Design, build, and integrate electrical ground support equipment, including test racks, harnesses, and supporting spacecraft integration hardware.
  • Support the design and execution of a flatsat testbed for hardware and software integration.
  • Perform hands-on electrical assembly, including soldering, crimping, connector assembly, cable routing, continuity checks, and harness inspection.
  • Troubleshoot electrical hardware and test setups using multimeters, oscilloscopes, power supplies, and logic analyzers.
  • Collaborate with electrical, software, systems, and AI&T engineers throughout spacecraft integration and testing.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a B.S. or M.S. in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative engineering environment.
  • Attention to detail and appreciation for workmanship, documentation, and repeatable hardware assembly.
  • Must qualify as a U.S. Person under 22 CFR 120.62 and meet U.S. employment eligibility requirements.

Nice to have

  • Hands-on experience with soldering, crimping, or electronics assembly.
  • Experience building and troubleshooting electrical systems with multimeters, oscilloscopes, power supplies, or logic analyzers.
