Summer 2027 Internship - Electrical Engineering (Nuclear Energy)

Location: Los Angeles, CA, United States

Salary: $30–$40 per hour, plus a monthly housing stipend and eligibility for overtime pay.

What you will do

• Design and develop reliable electrical systems and components for uranium enrichment technology.
• Perform systems trades, requirements capture, component selection, analysis, schematic capture, prototyping, bring-up, debugging, and design documentation.
• Support manufacturing planning and production testing for electrical designs.
• Create development and qualification test campaigns to validate hardware reliability.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to improve system performance, efficiency, manufacturability, and reliability.

Requirements

• Current undergraduate or graduate student pursuing Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a similar degree.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems architecture, circuit design, PCBA layout, or harness design.
• General knowledge of electrical and ECAD software tools such as Altium, Cadence, or similar platforms.
• Strong engineering fundamentals and a collaborative approach in fast-paced, multidisciplinary environments.
• Ability to work extended hours and weekends when necessary.
