  • Support hardware development from early prototypes through production units under the guidance of engineers and senior technicians.
  • Assist with rapid prototyping, debugging, troubleshooting, and root-cause investigation for field-deployable products.
  • Prepare electrical, mechanical, thermal, and electromechanical components for volume manufacturing, including basic shop work and quality checks.
  • Support customer-facing hardware demonstrations and collect feedback on product requirements.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in Electronics, Electrical Technology, or a related field; a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering is a plus.
  • 1–2 years of experience in a technical, assembly, or shop role, including professional or internship experience.
  • Basic 3D CAD skills, preferably SOLIDWORKS, and the ability to read engineering drawings, basic GD&T, and industry standards.
  • Hands-on experience with oscilloscopes, high-voltage probes, test equipment, and diagnostic tools.
  • Knowledge of analog and digital electronics, power systems, control circuits, failure analysis, and corrective actions.
  • Ability to work onsite in the San Bruno shop, stand for extended periods, lift and carry 50 pounds, and provide proof of U.S. work authorization within the first three days.

Nice to have

  • Experience with sheet metal, CNC, lathe work, 3D printing, PCBA assembly, or wire harness builds.
  • Exposure to low- and high-voltage systems, power distribution, battery and electronics thermal management, or high-reliability testing.
  • Understanding of IPC-610/620 and experience with JIRA, Confluence, digital multimeters, insulation testers, or microscopes.

Culture & Benefits

  • Hands-on collaboration with multidisciplinary engineering and design teams.
  • Fast-track opportunity for internal advancement as the team and company grow.
  • Early-stage equity and access to company-sponsored benefit plans.
  • Safety-first work environment focused on reliable products for demanding operational conditions.
