Salary: $122,000–$182,000 USD annually

What you will do

  • Own reliability and quality activities across component design, planning, manufacturing, testing, and launch operations.
  • Standardize drawings, support design for manufacturability, and manage configuration control.
  • Review work instructions, develop processes, and create standard rework and repair documentation.
  • Perform in-process build verification and coordinate travelled work.
  • Manage nonconformance processes, as-built verification, root-cause analysis, and corrective actions.
  • Develop specifications, inspection checklists, automation initiatives, and other quality improvements while collaborating with Engineering, Additive, Manufacturing, Test, and Launch teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or another STEM field.
  • At least 5 years of experience as a Quality Engineer in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Experience working with design engineering, manufacturing, production, and test personnel.
  • In-depth knowledge of aerospace manufacturing, complex assembly practices, and quality processes and controls.
  • Working knowledge of PLM, MES, ERP, and QMS software, plus proficiency in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Strong problem-solving, project planning, communication, process development, and first-time quality skills.

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of FMEA, APQP, SPC, and PPV.
  • Successful hardware NPI experience across manufacturing, testing, and production systems.
  • Familiarity with high-volume inspection and data-driven acceptance methods.
  • Understanding of AS9100 and ISO 9001 practices in aerospace programs.
  • Experience defining and implementing processes from scratch across diverse teams.
