Senior Test Quality & Reliability Engineer (Aerospace)

Salary: $149,500–$209,000 USD per year, plus potential equity grants.

What you will do

• Own validation, qualification, and continuous improvement of manufacturing test systems from new product introduction through production ramp.
• Analyze test data, failure trends, and system performance to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Improve tester reliability through calibration control, preventive maintenance, measurement validation, and uptime improvements.
• Develop test quality processes covering Gage R&R, test coverage, limit validation, fault injection, loop testing, and system health monitoring.
• Partner with Test, Manufacturing, Quality, Hardware, Firmware, Software, and Operations teams to prevent escapes and remove test bottlenecks.
• Support DFT and DFM improvements that increase test effectiveness and reduce manufacturing risks.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in manufacturing test engineering, quality engineering, reliability engineering, or a related field supporting complex products in production.
• Experience developing, validating, and sustaining manufacturing test systems, including test hardware, software, fixtures, instrumentation, and data collection systems.
• Strong knowledge of test coverage, false pass/fail analysis, measurement accuracy, calibration, and tester reliability.
• Experience with root cause analysis, FMEA, 8D, fault isolation, and corrective and preventive actions.
• Hands-on experience analyzing manufacturing test data, failure trends, and production metrics.
• Understanding of DFT, DFM, and the impact of product design decisions on manufacturing test effectiveness.

Nice to have

• Experience in high-volume aerospace, drone, automotive, consumer electronics, or complex electromechanical manufacturing.
• Experience with SPC, MSA, Gage R&R, statistical analysis, and reliability data analysis.
• Experience developing automated test software or scripts with Python, LabVIEW, C#, or similar languages.
• Familiarity with MES, test data analytics platforms, and tester health monitoring.
