Staff Equipment Engineering Technician (Day and Nights) (Semiconductor Manufacturing)

Location: Essex Junction, United States; onsite work at the Fab 9 cleanroom facility

Salary: $69,000–$145,800 per year

What you will do

• Monitor, sustain, and improve semiconductor equipment and processes in the assigned manufacturing area.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on assigned tool sets according to operating procedures.
• Monitor, control, and test equipment for manufacturing readiness.
• Recover equipment from process interruptions and complete event documentation.
• Communicate equipment status and end-of-shift handoffs to lead technicians and engineers.
• Collaborate with production teams and area engineers while following Fab 9 environmental, health, safety, and security requirements.

Requirements

• Two-year technical or associate degree in science, mathematics, engineering, semiconductor manufacturing, or a related discipline, or equivalent military training or experience.
• At least 6 years of direct experience in semiconductor manufacturing or semiconductor tool, equipment, or facilities maintenance.
• Fluency in written and verbal English.
• Availability for 12-hour alternating day or night shifts and onsite cleanroom work.
• Ability to wear required cleanroom clothing and protective equipment, stand for most of a 12-hour shift, and periodically lift at least 30 pounds.
• Ability to troubleshoot equipment using mechanical, electronic, computer, and software skills.

Nice to have

• 8 or more years of direct semiconductor manufacturing or equipment maintenance experience.
• Strong knowledge of semiconductor processing and process equipment.
• Experience with SAP, MES, ASPECT, Microsoft Office, and production information systems.
• Working knowledge of Statistical Process Control, Lean processes, and Kaizen activities.
• Experience training team members and working with global teams.
