What you will do
- Install, modify, upgrade, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair wafer-fabrication manufacturing equipment.
- Diagnose equipment issues using technical manuals, schematics, drawings, diagrams, and diagnostic tools.
- Study equipment performance and reliability and develop solutions that improve uptime.
- Maintain records of manufacturer technical notices, upgrades, and safety issues.
- Define and document preventive-maintenance schedules.
- Provide technical support to production operators and process engineering while following cleanroom and safety procedures.
Requirements
- Technical or military training in electronics, mechanical engineering, or equivalent related experience.
- 10+ years of relevant equipment maintenance and repair experience; semiconductor manufacturing equipment experience is preferred.
- Ability to interpret electrical and electronic schematics, mechanical drawings, piping diagrams, and flow charts.
- Experience troubleshooting analog and digital circuits at component level, including testing transistors, diodes, resistors, and capacitors with a multimeter.
- Experience soldering and desoldering printed-circuit-board components and repairing cable harnesses.
- Proof of U.S. citizenship, permanent U.S. residency, or protected-individual status is required under U.S. export-control regulations.
