Salary: $14,300–$215,000 USD annually

What you will do

  • Develop process plans, work instructions, work orders, and test procedures for avionics hardware and wire harness manufacturing.
  • Conduct Manufacturing Readiness Reviews and identify production risks before major builds.
  • Collaborate with design engineers on Design for Manufacturability improvements for fabrication and assembly.
  • Support build technicians by troubleshooting manufacturing issues, resolving non-conformances, and implementing corrective actions.
  • Partner with supply chain and quality teams to procure and inspect avionics components.
  • Analyze process performance and yield data, drive continuous improvement, and maintain capacity and demand models.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in manufacturing, process development, or production support for avionics hardware.
  • Hands-on experience with PCBAs, avionics boxes, or wire harness fabrication and assembly.
  • Knowledge of IPC standards for PCB and cable assembly.
  • Experience creating manufacturing work instructions, process control plans, and test procedures.

Nice to have

  • Experience scaling R&D or pilot manufacturing to full production.
  • Familiarity with high-reliability electronics manufacturing, environmental testing, and AS9100 or ISO9001 quality systems.
  • Experience with CAD tools such as NX, Zuken, or CATIA for mechanical design and harness routing.
  • Familiarity with PLM and ERP systems for work orders and production tracking.
  • Experience using data analysis and visualization tools to optimize manufacturing KPIs.
