Manufacturing Cost Analyst

Location: Malta, New York, USA; telecommuting permitted less than 50% per week within the same geographic location as the assigned office

Salary: $92,700–$120,700 per year

What you will do

• Participate in product costing and build cost estimates for manufactured products.
• Support budget P&L preparation, monthly forecasting, actuals tracking, and variance analysis.
• Develop product-specific cost information for factories in the USA, Germany, and Singapore.
• Analyze operational issues affecting manufacturing cost efficiency and collaborate with factory leaders.
• Present monthly financial results and cost performance to executive leadership.
• Support new product business cases and long-range strategic planning through cost analytics and reporting.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, a related field, or a foreign equivalent.
• At least 2 years of post-baccalaureate experience in manufacturing finance, cost accounting, or a related finance role.
• Experience with monthly close processes, journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance accounting.
• Experience using ERP systems such as Oracle or SAP to create inventory and cost reports.
• Experience analyzing fixed-cost absorption, volume impacts, forecasting models, and strategic planning tools.
• Experience presenting financial information to finance and non-finance stakeholders.
