CMM Programmer III (Aerospace)

Location: Long Beach, California, United States; onsite Friday–Sunday, 5:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m.

Hourly pay range: $37–$47 USD per hour.

What you will do

• Perform complex mechanical inspections for purchased parts, 3D-printed components, CNC-machined items, electromechanical components, and propulsion assemblies.
• Conduct receiving, in-process, and final assembly inspections using CMMs, hand measurement tools, microscopes, and comparators.
• Program and operate CMM equipment using PC-DMIS.
• Document non-conformances in ERP, MES, and issue-tracking systems.
• Collaborate with engineering and management to improve work instructions and identify critical inspection points.
• Coordinate inspection priorities with production to support delivery milestones and prevent defects from reaching downstream customers.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in a quality manufacturing environment.
• Experience with geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
• Advanced experience using calipers, micrometers, depth gauges, feeler gauges, pin gauges, thread gauges, and surface roughness measurement tools.
• Experience using comparators and microscopes.
• For U.S. office work, eligibility under U.S. ITAR export-control requirements is required, such as U.S. citizenship, lawful permanent residence, refugee or asylum status, or authorization eligibility.
• The schedule requires standing and walking for the full shift, working at heights and in confined areas, performing repetitive motions, and handling equipment weighing up to 25 pounds.

Nice to have

• Working proficiency with DFMEA, PFMEA, and fault tree analysis.
• Pareto analysis, root cause analysis, and corrective action experience.
• Inspection experience with aerospace propulsion components and assemblies.
• Experience with Jira, LN, and Power BI.
