Spacecraft Quality Inspector (Aerospace)

Location: Los Angeles, United States; in-person collaboration at the Playa Vista office

Salary: $37–$47 per hour in targeted base salary, excluding additional benefits.

What you will do

• Inspect and test in-process products and finished spacecraft components using measurement and testing equipment.
• Read blueprints, engineering drawings, technical specifications, and documents to verify product compliance.
• Document inspection results, quality issues, and non-conformances accurately.
• Perform root cause analyses and collaborate with cross-functional teams on corrective and preventive actions.
• Maintain inspection tools and equipment and monitor production processes for potential quality issues.
• Support quality control procedures, continuous improvement initiatives, and internal and external audits.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required; an associate’s degree or technical certification is preferred.
• 3+ years of quality control or inspection experience in the aerospace industry.
• Proficiency with calipers, micrometers, gauges, multimeters, and other testing equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documents.
• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of ISO 9001 or AS9100 quality systems and standards.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and quality management software.
