Bilingual Underwriting Assistant

Location: On-site in Great Neck, New York, United States

Salary: $29–$34 per hour

What you will do

• Assist with issuing new business policies, endorsements, and renewals.
• Support underwriters with policy processing, documentation, binding activities, and workflow tracking.
• Communicate with brokers, carriers, and internal underwriting teams to obtain required information.
• Respond to emails, submissions, phone calls, and service requests professionally and promptly.
• Enter and maintain accurate policy information in underwriting systems and internal databases.
• Review, organize, and maintain underwriting documentation and electronic records.

Requirements

• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage competing priorities.
• Strong verbal and written communication, teamwork, and collaboration skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Bachelor’s degree.
• 1–2 years of property and casualty insurance experience.
• Bilingual English and any Chinese dialect or Korean; an active P&C license or willingness to obtain one within 90 days is required.
