Simulator Technician (Flight Simulators)

Location: On-site at HMAS Albatross, Nowra, NSW, Australia, with a rotating three-shift pattern.

What you will do

• Perform advanced troubleshooting, fault isolation, corrective maintenance, and preventive maintenance on MH-60R flight simulators and associated systems.
• Carry out visual alignments, calibration activities, system performance checks, and Qualification Test Guide and Approval Test Guide procedures.
• Lead and coordinate technical activities during shifts with maintenance, planning, and technical management teams.
• Support hardware modifications, software updates, simulator upgrades, and customer issue resolution affecting training delivery.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and support parts management, repair tracking, inventory control, and vendor coordination.
• Provide technical mentoring, coaching, and on-the-job training to junior technicians.

Requirements

• Technical or mechanical trade skills, preferably as an electrician or electronics technician.
• IT knowledge and the ability to learn technical systems quickly.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Air Technical Avionics or Air Technical Airframes qualifications and experience are highly desired.
• Must be an Australian citizen and eligible to obtain an Australian Defence Security Clearance.
• Ability to work on-site in Nowra on a rotating three-shift pattern and comply with CASA, OEM, customer, and company quality and safety requirements.
