Production Technician (Aerospace)

What you will do

• Assemble and integrate aerospace-grade camera pod systems and electronic assemblies.
• Support engineers with prototype and production builds across the full build lifecycle.
• Perform incoming goods inspection, inventory management, component testing, troubleshooting, and rework.
• Maintain accurate build records, traceability, and manufacturing documentation.
• Follow ISO9001 and AS9100 quality processes and support continuous improvement across production workflows.
• Maintain high standards of workmanship, precision, and attention to detail.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in a technician, assembly, or manufacturing role.
• Strong electronics assembly and integration experience.
• Experience with ISO9001, AS9100, or similarly rigorous quality systems.
• Experience in high-value, low-volume production environments.
• Ability to read and follow technical drawings, work instructions, and procedures, with strong documentation and organisational skills.
• Australian permanent residency or citizenship required.

Nice to have

• Aerospace or defence industry experience.
• Experience supporting R&D or prototype development.
• Familiarity with electro-mechanical systems, optical systems, or airborne payloads.
