Salary: $140,000–$180,000 per year

What you will do

  • Provide primary, acute, and occupational healthcare to employees and eligible family members, including examinations, diagnoses, treatment, prescriptions, and referrals.
  • Evaluate and treat workplace injuries, illnesses, exposures, musculoskeletal conditions, wounds, and foreign-object injuries.
  • Conduct occupational health screenings, fit-for-duty and DOT examinations, wellness assessments, vaccination reviews, and return-to-work consultations.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including laboratory testing, spirometry, and initial resting EKG interpretation.
  • Lead and supervise clinical staff, approve standing orders, audit charts, and maintain quality, safety, infection-control, and HIPAA standards.
  • Collaborate with physicians, client managers, workers’ compensation insurers, and internal teams on case management, workplace hazards, and health and safety programs.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in nursing or a related field and an active nurse practitioner medical license in the state of assignment.
  • Board certification in the relevant medical specialty.
  • Federal DEA certification and current ALS, First Aid, and CPR certifications.
  • Certification for independent prescribing of medications and controlled substances under the applicable state nursing board.
  • At least 2 years of experience in internal medicine or family/general practice.
  • Ability to maintain continuing education and comply with applicable medical, nursing, legal, ethical, and safety standards.

Nice to have

  • At least 2 years of occupational medicine experience.
  • Full Practice Authority where applicable under state guidelines.
  • Primary or urgent care experience and clinical team leadership skills.
  • Experience with electronic medical records, Microsoft Teams, and Microsoft 365.
