R&D Project Manager - Engineering

Location: Hybrid in Orlando, Florida, United States. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. What you will do

• Lead end-to-end engine development and upgrade programs for the 8H gas turbine platform, from concept through first-engine shipment.
• Manage program strategy, schedules, milestones, investment planning, R&D budgets, resources, and execution.
• Coordinate global teams across engineering, manufacturing, purchasing, supply chain, quality, service, and leadership.
• Apply QFD, FMEA, SIRA, Stage-Gate, PDP, and related engineering methods to optimize designs and manage risk.
• Drive root-cause analysis, corrective actions, validation, and implementation for complex technical challenges.
• Maintain product development governance, documentation, stakeholder communication, and program visibility.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
• 3–5+ years of project or program management experience in complex engineering, product development, or R&D initiatives.
• Experience managing R&D investments, budgets, resource allocation, and program financial performance.
• Experience leading global cross-functional teams and influencing stakeholders across technical and operational functions.
• Strong knowledge of product development lifecycles, risk management, and structured engineering methodologies.
• U.S. work authorization and export-control eligibility are required; employer-sponsored work authorization is not available.

Nice to have

• PMP, PgMP, or equivalent project management certification.
• Experience in manufacturing, supply chain, quality, or service.
