R&D Project Manager

What you will do

• Plan, lead, and execute R&D projects from early-stage research through development and scale-up.
• Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, success metrics, schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams across R&D, Quality, Regulatory, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Marketing.
• Manage technical risks, development uncertainties, dependencies, changing priorities, and formal change control.
• Facilitate design reviews, phase-gate reviews, and technical decision-making forums.
• Track milestones and KPIs, communicate status and recommendations, and support continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, chemistry, biology, or a related technical field.
• At least 1 year of project management experience in an R&D, product development, or technical environment.
• Experience managing projects with technical uncertainty and evolving requirements.
• Strong knowledge of Waterfall, Agile, or hybrid project management methodologies.
• Excellent communication skills with technical and non-technical audiences.
• Proficiency with project management and collaboration tools such as MS Project, Smartsheet, Jira, or Confluence.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in a technical discipline.
• PMP, CAPM, or Agile certification.
• Experience with stage-gate product development and regulated industries.
• Familiarity with data-driven development, experimentation, or design-of-experiments.
