Production Manager, Fluid Systems (Aerospace Manufacturing)

Location: Long Beach, California, United States; onsite. Ability to travel up to 25% and work overtime or weekends for critical mission milestones.

Salary: $133,000–$188,000 USD per year.

What you will do

• Own daily execution of build plans across assigned work centers, balancing safety, quality, and delivery.
• Lead supervisors and technicians in achieving takt-based production targets.
• Identify and escalate production blockers to Engineering, Quality, and Program teams.
• Partner with Manufacturing Engineering and Design Engineering to resolve build issues and improve manufacturability.
• Monitor throughput, labor hours, rework, and scrap, and implement recovery plans.
• Support staffing plans, shift coverage, work instructions, configuration control, and PFMEA-driven process controls.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in aerospace, automotive, or another high-complexity manufacturing environment.
• At least 1.5 years of experience leading production teams in an assembly or fabrication environment.
• Cross-functional experience with Manufacturing Engineering and Design teams.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and production planning.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lb unassisted.
• Must be a U.S. person or otherwise eligible for deemed export licensing under U.S. export-control requirements.

Nice to have

• Experience with vehicle structures or final integration environments.
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles and PFMEA.
• Experience scaling production from development to higher-rate manufacturing.
• Strong escalation judgment and production recovery planning.
