Senior Buyer (Aerospace)

Location: Onsite in Hawthorne, California, United States. Travel up to 20% may be required.

Salary: $107,000–$152,000 USD per year

What you will do

• Build a strategic supply chain for engine components, off-the-shelf parts, tools, materials, avionics, and hardware assemblies.
• Analyze BOM costs and perform should-cost analysis.
• Partner with engineering and manufacturing teams to identify and execute cost-saving opportunities.
• Issue RFQs and purchase orders while maintaining service levels for quotes, orders, and updates.
• Resolve supply, quality, delivery, and invoice disputes and develop improved processes and KPIs.
• Mentor team members and provide commodity training across the organization.

Requirements

• At least 4 years of procurement experience, including 2 years in aerospace.
• At least 2 years in a role requiring traceability.
• At least 2 years of experience working with an ERP system.
• Bachelor of Science degree in Supply Chain, Business, or Engineering.
• Must be a U.S. person or otherwise eligible for deemed export licensing under U.S. export control requirements.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs unassisted and balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to have

• Experience creating and updating RFPs, purchase orders, and facilities work orders in ERP software.
• Strong strategic problem-solving, communication, and independent judgment skills.
• Ability to work effectively with employees, vendors, customers, engineering, and manufacturing teams.
