Senior Buyer (Aerospace Procurement)

Location: Onsite in Salt Lake City, Utah, United States; 9/80 schedule with every other Friday off.

Salary: $90,000–$110,000 annually.

What you will do

• Identify and evaluate suppliers based on value, delivery performance, quality, and technical requirements.
• Execute sourcing, supplier selection, technical evaluation, cost and price analysis, purchase order generation, and supplier oversight.
• Develop and negotiate long-term purchasing agreements and purchase orders for moderately complex commodities.
• Monitor supplier performance, lead procurement status meetings, and resolve delivery, receiving, certification, invoice, and quality issues.
• Maintain procurement data in the ERP system and coordinate requisition releases with Program Planning.
• Support proposals and purchase orders while ensuring documentation complies with FAR and contract law.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree, typically in a business-related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in a mechanical or aerospace procurement environment.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and industry requirements.
• Knowledge and experience with FAR and DFARS procurement regulations.
• Knowledge of quality assurance and inspection procedures.
• Ability to work onsite in Salt Lake City, Utah. The position requires access to U.S. export-controlled information.

Nice to have

• Certification in purchasing, inventory control, or supply chain management.
• Production planning familiarity.
• Lean Six Sigma training, certification, or experience.
