Director, Strategic Sourcing (Aerospace)

Location: On-site at the hirify.global Production Facility in Los Angeles, United States. Must be a U.S. Person, meaning a U.S. citizen or permanent resident, in accordance with ITAR regulations. Travel to suppliers and off-site operations required up to 25%.

Salary: $175,000–$205,000 annual base salary, plus equity.

What you will do

• Lead and develop the procurement organization and managers overseeing Global Supply Managers.
• Define sourcing strategies supporting production-rate increases, new product introductions, and cost-reduction targets.
• Manage supplier selection, RFQs, negotiations, contracts, purchase orders, and long-term agreements.
• Build supplier relationships and improve delivery, cost, quality, capacity, and risk performance.
• Partner with Planning, Inventory, Engineering, Quality, and Production to ensure material availability and qualify suppliers and materials.
• Report procurement KPIs, maintain purchasing compliance, and support ERP optimization and procurement data integrity.

Requirements

• U.S. Person status required: U.S. citizenship or permanent residency under ITAR.
• 10+ years of experience in supply chain or procurement, including 3+ years in management.
• Strong experience in strategic sourcing, cost negotiations, supplier management, production ramp-ups, and new product launches.
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems and procurement tools, plus strong analytical and communication skills.
• Aerospace or automotive experience and the ability to work with urgency, autonomy, and accountability in a production environment.
