Buyer - All Levels (Aerospace)

Location: Hawthorne, California; onsite. Periodic offsite field visits and associated travel are required.

Salary: $105,000–$136,000 per year.

What you will do

• Source and purchase materials, components, and services for production and R&D projects.
• Develop supplier relationships and negotiate pricing, delivery, quality, contracts, and purchasing terms.
• Coordinate with operations and inventory teams to maintain optimal stock levels and prevent production disruptions.
• Analyze market trends and supplier performance to identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining quality.
• Monitor vendor performance and resolve delivery, quality, and service issues.
• Collaborate with engineering, production, and finance teams while maintaining compliant purchasing records and contracts.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business, or a related field plus 2+ years of procurement, purchasing, or supply chain experience, or 6+ years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
• Experience sourcing suppliers and negotiating contracts.
• Experience managing supplier relationships.
• Experience managing multiple procurement projects using procurement software and Microsoft Excel.

Nice to have

• Direct procurement experience in aerospace, automotive, or other highly regulated manufacturing industries.
• Experience implementing or improving procurement processes, including ERP, MRP, or inventory management systems.
• Experience supporting supplier performance, cost reduction, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Experience analyzing procurement data to support sourcing decisions and operational efficiency.
• Knowledge of strategic sourcing, supplier relationship management, and contract administration.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
